The experiences of stroke patients can help other patients and their families just as much, if not more, than medical books or doctors surgeries, according to recent research by the University of Stirling.

Young people with chronic (long-term) medical conditions can read about, or listen to, other teenagers and young adults who have experienced living with illness at www.youthhealthtalk.org, part of the award winning DIPEx patient website based on Oxford University research.

16/5/2007 -New Website Provides Personal Insight into Breastfeeding
A new website featuring personal experiences of breastfeeding has gone ‘live’ in time for National Breastfeeding Awareness Week (May 13 - 19).
Dr Kath Ryan, Senior Research Fellow at Bournemouth University recorded the interviews with 49 women and two men from all parts of the UK for the new site - www.dipex.org/breastfeeding. The men featured are partners of women who were interviewed.
